Online Video Training

Our Online Video Training (OVT) resources provide everything you need to create your own computer-based learning tool -- suitable for your  network, company intranet, web-server, or even your next PowerPoint presentation.

The video portion of these computer-based training programs is delivered on CD-R or DVD-R data disc, under the licensing structure specific to your needs. You may purchase a Site License for use throughout one single physical location (including multiple buildings). Or a Global License, for multiple geographic locations. After you mount these computer-friendly movie files* on your PC or server, your students will have immediate, 24/7 access to our video-based training programs directly from their desktop. The video files may be played directly over high-speed networks or internet connections, or copied / downloaded onto local hard drives for playback on a computer within any licensed facility. You may even incorporate these video files into a PowerPoint presentation, or project directly from a laptop for group training.

Certification materials (from our Training Certification program), consisting of exams and Certificates of completion, are available in PDF format, and are for unlimited students with passing scores.

Other Testing Options: There are several ways to test your students. You may print out the exam from the PDF document provided and give directly to the student. Or, you can mount the appropriate PDF test on your learning portal for your student to print out and fill in him or herself. A trainer could also cut-and-paste IPC exam questions from the PDF into their own Learning Management System (LMS) -- even adding their own company-specific questions. Alternatively, a programmer could create your own online test using some or all of the IPC questions provided. Or, you can use our new network-based, auto-testing tool as described below (see next paragraph).

Now available - Automated Online Testing and Student Record-Keeping Software. For select titles in our OVT product line, there is now an optional auto-testing and record-keeping module for your network. This program will tally and store student test scores for you, allow for data sort by name, score, or number of days since last tested, as well as make exporting test results to your own database or spreadsheet a breeze. Free to all purchasers of OVT or DVD programs as new auto-testing programs become available.  No more tests to print, no more answer sheets to grade!

Pricing on a single Site License version for an OVT product is typically 1.5 times the equivalent DVD price (IPC Member or Nonmember rates apply). Global Licenses are 3 times the Site cost. Now you can have the convenience of anytime / anywhere online access to award-winning IPC video training programs on your own computer. (Note: ideally suited for viewing over a PC monitor. For group training sessions using a large video display, such as wide screen television monitors, please consider our DVD product line for images at higher resolution and larger screen sizes.)

Free DVD with OVT purchase.  When purchasing any OVT title, you will receive the equivalent DVD at no charge (i.e., buy an OVT-54C Site or Global and get a DVD-54C for free!).  This is because  IPC recognizes that sometimes you may require a group training presentation, and a DVD is ideal for this scenario.

Upgrade from DVD to OVT.  You may also deduct the full (member / nonmember) price of any DVD training program previously purchased from IPC against the cost of the same OVT version (Site or Global license), and even keep the DVD for use in your classroom presentations.

*OVT video files are 640 x 480 MPEG-1 (.mpg), or 320 x 240 Windows Media Video (.wmv) format. Movies play on any computer with basic multimedia capability (i.e., sound and video card, speakers, etc.) using Windows Media Player or the equivalent. Contact us if you have questions on video formats or settings, or if the smaller WMV formatted video is not provided on your product disc.
